MegaFon will connect to the network almost all police officers for 2.2 billion rubles

2015: Contract of MegaFon and Ministry of Internal Affairs for 2.24 billion rubles

On November 16, 2015 MegaFon announced the conclusion of the new contract with the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Russian Federation. The operator is selected by the prime vendor of communication services almost from all structures of department.

As it appears from the message of MegaFon, the company won the closed tender for rendering a range of services of mobile radio telephone communication which was announced in September, 2015 by Federal State Institution "Main Center for Communications and Information Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation". Within this project the cellular company will receive 2.24 billion rubles from the customer.

Contract term — 3 years. According to its conditions, MegaFon will provide employees practically all the structures entering into the Ministry of Internal Affairs with a mobile voice communication, services of mobile data transmission, M2M-solutions and navigation functions by means of GLONASS system. The operator calls this project unique in country scales.

"Such large-scale and  difficult projects both according to  requirements, and  on  execution in  mobile communications market  of the Russian Federation  were not yet. Solutions which were proposed by MegaFon in  the engineering note to  the tender documentation do this project  in fact unique" — the director of  work with  the state clients Sergey Bulangcha noted.

It is necessary to tell that this large contract of MegaFon with the Ministry of Internal Affairs became the second for November, 2015. The operator also signed with " NPO Spetsialnaya tekhnika i svyaz Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation the agreement on creation of the single integrated departmental system of radio telephone communication. For project implementation will issue to MegaFon from the state budget a little more than 9 billion rubles.^[1]
