The FORS training center trained the staff of Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation in work for PostgreSQL DBMS

On December 17, 2018 the FORS Training center (enters into FORS Group) reported that it conducted courses on training in administration and development of PostgreSQL DBMS for the staff of federal institutions of medico-social examination of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.

According to the company, for December, 2018 the program of the authorized training there passed within advanced training more than 190 people - the administrators and programmers using PostgreSQL DBMS. Training took place in two flows – in September and October, 2018. Among listeners there were not only Muscovites, but also representatives of all territorial subjects of the Russian Federation.

The need for such specialists arose at the customer in connection with the project on migration of the uniform automated vertically integrated it is information-analytical a system (EAVIIAS) from the platform MS SQL Server on DBMS PostgresSQL. The project started in 2018, and will come to the end by the beginning of 2019, and it is performed by own forces using the trained specialists.

The FORS training center coped with a problem of large-scale training of our specialists who gained experience and understanding of specifics of architecture, setup, installation and service of PostgreSQL DBMS. We are sure that there will be enough gained knowledge not only for safe transition to the next platform, but also for the subsequent maintenance and development of our system.
