WaveAccess expanded functionality of the FSIS portal "Our nature"

The federal state information system of public control (FSIS) "our Nature" allows citizens, to public associations and other non-profit organizations to inform control supervisory authorities on violations of the nature protection legislation (unauthorized dumps, pollution of water bodies, illegal deforestation, etc.) via the web portal and mobile application.

The FSIS portal "our Nature" is the tool on fight against violations in the field of environmental protection and environmental management.

2017: Expansion of functionality of the portal

On September 19, 2017 the WaveAccess company announced expansion by request of Citytekh company of functionality of the portal of the Federal state information system of public control (FSIS) "Our nature" for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Russian Federation.

Project Tasks

For support of service and expansion of functions of the portal the WaveAccess command was invited. Set the tasks to make the system interface more clear and more convenient and also to add a number of features when preserving the current functionality for developers.

Project Progress

Specialists of WaveAccess in 3 months upgraded the federal portal of public environmental control.

• The reference book of lists of subjects and the municipal entities of Russia became available to users — now the card is rebuilt according to the selected territory, and the user can specify exact location of violation.
• The possibility of loading of the video records accompanying the request is implemented.
• Now users can create draft copies of statements to add them at any convenient time before sending.

Besides, the WaveAccess command optimized the system of acceptance and processing of requests. The so-called passport of the message was entered: all data on the detected violation — an exact location, the description of a problem, the photo, video — are compiled in the uniform PDF report. It allowed to simplify communication with the inspector accepting requests. Specialists also finished the feedback form necessary on a case of emergence of problems during the work with the portal.

Changes concerned also personal account of the user. The user can monitor the status of consideration of the requests via the familiar interface which reminds the interface of social network. The list of messages which can be filtered by different parameters became available to the applicant — updates happen in real time. Notifications about violation liquidation also come to the contact information specified in a personal account. Also the WaveAccess command added a feature to note the pleasant messages in a work progress with service for users.

Project Results

As a result of project implementation of a system capability were considerably expanded, it became more convenient to work with the FSIS portal "our Nature". A system within three years worked in the pilot mode in 9 regions of Russia, reported in WaveAccess.

We managed to optimize work of the Our Nature portal for short term. The command of Frontend-developer, analysts and QA engineers participated in the project. We paid special attention to performance and fault tolerance of service. The portal is designed to process a big flow of messages therefore it was important to provide the high speed of loading of pages — the senior vice president for development in WaveAccess Alexander Azarov noted.

It is expected that the advanced functionality of the Our Nature portal will allow to increase transparency of work of state agencies in the field of environmental protection and environmental management, to reduce terms of decision making and holding actions for elimination of effects of violations and also will give the chance to society to estimate work of authorities.
