2024: Warehouse Design Development
Thanks to cooperation with AXELOT, Mobile K has received the concept of a modern warehouse complex, which will allow you to make the most of the space and resources of the warehouse in order to meet the promising needs of the company in the volume of cargo processing. Axelot announced this on November 27, 2024.
Mobile K LLC has been on the Russian market since 1988. Initially, the company specialized only in the production of attachments and components for motor vehicles, garden and communal equipment used in small areas, as well as general machine-building products. Since 2011, Mobile K has been supplying the international market with high-tech garden equipment that can compete with the best representatives of the European market.
The logistics infrastructure of Mobile K includes a warehouse of finished products "Basic," a warehouse of spare parts and accessories for Mezonin equipment and a building spot intended for a new warehouse complex. Warehouses are located in the Smolensk region on the same territory along with production, retail, office and administrative premises.
Finished products and spare parts intended for sale will be "moved" to the warehouse that the company plans to build. This will require a reorganization of the existing storage system.
Mobile K entrusted the development of the warehouse project to AXELOT experts. They carried out a warehouse survey: they studied the premises of the existing warehouses, equipment, and revealed the peculiarities of cargo processing. To gather reliable information about business processes in existing warehouses, interviews were conducted with managers and key employees. After inspecting the development spot, experts drew up a primary plan based on measuring the area and determining the basic commodity flows on the territory. Also, AXELOT employees analyzed and verified statistical data on cargo processing.
Based on the results of the survey, AXELOT experts formulated requirements for the area and volume of process areas, taking into account the distribution of reserves by groups for the sampling and storage areas. This made it possible to accurately calculate the sizes and number of cells for each zone, as well as to make an enlarged calculation of capacity and throughput.
The project team developed the warehouse topology and principles for placing warehouse equipment, formed cargo flow schemes, including personnel and equipment routes. Experts also described the technology of processing goods in order to systematize warehouse operations and increase their efficiency, and calculated the need for personnel and lifting and transportation equipment. Then the budget of the proposed project was assessed, including an enlarged calculation of the cost of construction and equipment of the warehouse complex.
As a result of the project, AXELOT provided Mobile K with the architectural and construction concept of the warehouse complex, which will make the most efficient use of the available space and resources. The finished concept not only meets the current needs of the company, but also takes into account its plans for development in the future.
