Step Logic and Huawei put the IT base in a tower Eye

2019: Creation of server and network infrastructures of a skyscraper Eye

On July 8, 2019 the Step Logic company reported that it together with Huawei completed the project on creation of server and network infrastructures of the skyscraper Eye located in the territory of MMDTs "Moscow City". As a result of the performed works on 24 floors of the building with a total area of 50,000 sq.m the highly reliable foundation for daily work about 4,500 staff of bodies of executive power of Moscow is laid.

According to information digging, at the end of 2018 offices of the executive authorities (EA) of Moscow moved to a skyscraper Eye: Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development, Department of city property, Department of trade and services, Department of information technologies, Department of investment and industrial policy, Committee on tourism. The moving purpose – cost reduction due to reduction of the premises used for work. For the organization of daily work of employees, the continuity of business processes and high availability of IT services needed high-performance and reliable ICT infrastructure which creation was entrusted STEP LOGIC company. The part of the project including creation of server, network infrastructures and ensuring network security is executed based on technologies of Huawei.

The equipment of Huawei is used on an object for the solution of a broad spectrum of tasks: virtualizations, functioning of wire and wireless networks, information and network security, applied information aspects, work of the multimedia systems, etc. So, solutions of vendor play an important role in creation of an information and technology system central server which part 84 FusionServer RH1288 V3 servers were. And the system of virtualization of Huawei provides functioning of all subsystems of complex ICT infrastructure of an object.

For the organization of a unified environment of data transmission, providing communication and information services to users in the building Eye it is constructed wire and wireless network infrastructures using solutions of Huawei. By a LAN it is unrolled in all territory of office, for July, 2019 covers more than 4,400 jobs and contains over 10,000 ports for connection of customer premise equipment of executive authorities. During creation of a system the hierarchical (modular) approach to the organization of network topology simplifying further operation and scaling of a LAN is used. The high level of fault tolerance is provided due to use of "hot" reservation. As the equipment of the kernel level of a LAN the modern modular Huawei S12700 switches are used. Also in the project switches of the access level Huawei S5700, S2700 and high-performance multiservice Huawei NE20E routers are used. The wireless network of standard 802.11ac provides a complete seamless covering of the zones occupied by the customer and office space.

At the heart of a network security system, the formed team of STEP LOGIC, products of Huawei also lie: two types of firewalls – a core and perimeter and also 7 security servers. The Huawei USG 6680 firewalls working in the mode of hot sparing are used to protection of a core of a LAN. Functions on separation of traffic at the LAN kernel level for different executive authorities and also separation of powers on administration the politician of cybersecurity is reached by use of the virtual systems (firewalls) working at failsafe USG6680 pair. The failsafe Huawei USG 6650 configuration is applied to defense of perimeter of a LAN. Solutions include services of security for detection and an intrusion prevention, antivirus protection of network, filtering of DDoS attacks, control of applications. These services are integrated with the directory of users that allows to register security policies on the basis of domain attributes. For July, 2019 the equipment Huawei USG 6650 and 6680 underwent certification of FSTEC and can be used at the enterprises to which the regulator imposes special requirements.

Besides, within the project the centralized control system of the equipment Huawei eSight which provides convenient tools for serviceability check of network infrastructure, firewalls, the politician of cybersecurity is implemented.

According to the results of our project in Eye executive authorities of Moscow received working areas and jobs, could reduce considerably costs for interaction between structural divisions and also consolidate information services.
