Within the project of the digital double of the city there was a task of creation of a single intellectual digital platform for the analysis, modeling and management of the city in real time on the basis of space information

Effects for the city:

  • Analysis and modeling of town-planning objects in real time;
  • Urban governance;
  • Transport modeling (perspective);
  • Emergency response (perspective).


Structure of the digital double:

  • Information: CityGML, FGM, panoramas, video cameras, geosocial analytics and other space information of OIV and subordinated organizations;
  • Platform: The intellectual digital platform of collecting and data analysis based on OASI Moscow Committees for Architecture and Urban Development;
  • Infrastructure: IoT sensors, data networks, DPC;
  • Services: Systems of analytics, modeling and monitoring.


Basic layers of the digital double of the city of Moscow (all basic layers are available to creation of the Digital double, further detailing and updating is carried out them):

Flowing functionality (as of the end of the 2020th):

  • Photogrammetric model (all territory of new and old Moscow has photogrammetric model (3D map);
  • Panning (available archive since 2013 with a possibility of measurement of geometry of objects of city infrastructure);
  • Assessment of project solutions (planning of building using visualization on 3D - the card is at the moment available);
  • Parametrical design (multidimensional parametrical design of site plannings of territories of the city taking into account legislative restrictions);
  • Technologies of information modeling (the digital double provides access to digital models of buildings for management and decision making);
  • OSSIG - Regulation of movement of waste of construction, demolition and soil in the city of Moscow (service of the analysis of tracks is used in problems of telemetry for data visualization quality improvement);
  • Thematic layers on objects (different thematic layers are at the moment available).

Perspective functionality (in implementation for 2020):

  • City cameras and their coverages (visualization of coverages of video cameras in real time on the digital double of the city);
  • Transport modeling (modeling of road infrastructure for optimization of traffic flows, including a cargo framework);
  • Improvement (single platform of design and monitoring of improvement by all participants of process).
