Joint actions to preserve and use the amber heritage "in the Museum of the World Ocean installed two domestic scanning complexes - with their help, employees of the Kaliningrad museum will be able to digitize any exhibits, ranging from ancient books to paintings and large-format maps. In this case, the scanner creates digital copies in reprographic quality.

"ELAR equipment will be used, among other tasks, to digitize museum fund items - this is more than 20,000 storage units." Digital copies will also be made to record the state of preservation of fund items and to be placed in the State Catalog of the Museum Fund of the Russian Federation.
