On December 5, 2017 ELAR Corporation announced installation in National library of A.S. Pushkin of the Republic of Mordovia of the planetary scanner of ELARSKAN of A2-600. The equipment will be used for high-quality digitization of rare books, the periodical press, local history and other editions.

Careful transfer in electronic a type of rare books will allow to provide to readers instead of originals their digital copies that will positively affect safety of editions.

As rare books are valuable not only the contents, but also, as a rule, in itself can have art, historical or cultural value, at digitization it is important to transfer with an absolute accuracy features of polygraphic execution, illustrations, marks, etc.
