Norbel completed the analysis of license compliance of software of Microsoft

On November 27, 2015 the Softline company announced project completion of SAM Baseline according to the complex analysis of license compliance of the software of Microsoft set in NORBEL company.

Project Tasks

Implementation of the SAM project is caused by aspiration of company management to expense optimization on IT infrastructure and to increase in management efficiency of software in the future. For this purpose within the project updating of data on current contracts and licenses of Microsoft is carried out. Inventory of program assets is carried out according to methodology of Software Asset Management (SAM).

Project Progress

When carrying out the project according to the analysis of license compliance used the solution Assessment and Planning Tool (MAP) recommended by Microsoft company. During the project experts of Softline conducted examination of software, assessment of a status of contracts for the software of Microsoft, reconciliation of licenses with the actual credentials. After that developed recommendations about expense optimization on licensing taking into account specifics of IT infrastructure of the customer.

Pavel Puchkov, the head SAM of Softline company, noted:

- Inventory allowed to set precisely the volume of the used program assets and to estimate the level of a maturity of processes of SAM at the organizations. According to the results of assessment experts of Softline defined the main foci and developed the plan of optimization of management of IT assets.

Within the complete SAM project the customer received the closing statement in which the recommendations about optimization and support of IT infrastructure are reflected.

- In a project deliverable we optimized expenses on IT infrastructure, financial planning considerably became simpler. We understand importance of effective management of program assets, and further we are going to be improved in this sphere according to practicians of SAM.
