The northern bank of Sberbank of Russia uses optimization appliances of operation of servers

On August 14, 2014 it became known of implementation in an IT environment of Northern bank JSC Sberbank of Russia of the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2 system for optimization of operation of servers, control over updates of systems, simplification of the reporting and cost reduction on support of IT infrastructure.

Project Tasks

The management of bank stopped the choice on the solution proposed by Microsoft according to the results of positive experience of implementation of a similar system for workstations. System Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2 helps to collect all available system updates, timely distributing them between devices and business applications.

Project Results

The solution was applied to improvement of operation of the application servers providing functioning of a system of acceptance of utility payments, self-service devices (ATMs and terminals) and payments of legal entities.

Controlling relevance of updates of the critical applications supporting safe use of data, System Center simplified work with servers, provided increase in level of fault tolerance.

System Center Configuration Manager is implemented by means of Microsoft Consulting and one employee of IT service of bank.

For August 14, 2014 all server park of Northern bank is serviced using System Center Configuration Manager.
