2020: Upgrade of network infrastructure
On March 23, 2020 the INLINE Technologies company announced upgrade of network infrastructure of the technology systems of OTR TV channel. The project objective was to provide a possibility of digital broadcasting of TV company in all territory of Russia.
The existing network infrastructure did not meet requirements for reliability and a territorial scope. For functioning of modern management systems and broadcast of digital video signal the TV channel needed to increase considerably capacity of data transmission channels and also to provide automatic synchronization of on-air broadcasting and a possibility of broadcasting to the remote regions of the country.
INLINE Technologies proposed the solution based on technology programmatically of the defined networks (SD-WAN) based on Fortinet equipment. The company including completely designed the solution and also organized its testing and pilot operation of control segments.
As a result in TV company the protected network infrastructure for 79 regional transmitting centers is created. All broadcasting nodes can work with the help of both wire, and wireless links communications that provides inherent reliability of a TV broadcast. The command center of TV channel in To Moscow functions based on the protected cluster firewalls FortiGate, security services FortiGuard IPS and a managing complex FortiManager. It provides uniform management of digital broadcasting in different time zones and also implements automatic control of operation of the equipment on all regional platforms.
For March, 2020 obnovlennvya the technology network OTR is brought into working operation. Its capacity makes about 30 Mbps that completely covers requirements of TV company. INLINE Technologies provides service maintenance of all network infrastructure of digital broadcasting. Further development of the project provides including increase in level of security of the broadcast video signal.
