Content

The Softline company completed the project of start in system operation of design of internal utilities on the Autodesk Revit MEP platform for OLEKS HOLDING company, the press service reported on April 2, 2013.

Start

Specialists of the company noted a number of the problems connected with absence in the solution used by them at design, functions of the automated obtaining specifications, joint work of several engineers and change control in drawings/plans. The big share of an error and disagreements at design was result of these restrictions of tools that, finally, led to material costs. For the purpose of increase in efficiency of engineering departments and reduction of influence of a human factor the company management of OLEKS HOLDING made the decision on implementation of specialized computer design aids. The contractor of the project selected the Softline company which successfully proved in the course of long-term cooperation in delivery of products of Autodesk.

Analyzing requirements and the existing tasks of OLEKS HOLDING company, specialists of Softline recommended to the client transition to the new product Autodesk Revit MEP – the universal solution for design of the heating, vent, electrical and sanitary systems of buildings - the software package AutoCAD Revit MEP is intended for design, calculations and release of the project documentation.

Implementation

After completion of works on setup of new software for specialists of the client a course of consultations on work with a system in the course of which they got acquainted with the main functionality of a product and performed a pilot task on project development of utilities of one of shops of Moscow is conducted.

Framework

Softline provided to OLEKS HOLDING company the technical support which is performed by means of phone, e-mail, the Help Desk systems working in mode 24х7.

"The project implemented jointly with specialists of Softline company allowed us to optimize the existing design processes, having increased their efficiency. Work which occupied six working days at a term of use of the created base of elements earlier is executed in four days now. A new system is rather simple in use and has the functionality answering to specifics of our tasks. In general, I can note that the got experience with the program is positive, and today we do not see more suitable product under our needs. In the foreseeable future we are going to provide training of additional group of engineers in work with data of software for its more dense implementation.
