The Kontinent company equips transport with GLONASS monitoring system

The KONTINENT construction company which special equipment is used on construction of objects for the Olympic Games-2014 in Sochi equipped the vehicle fleet with GLONASS equipment. The systems of satellite tracking and fuel analytics of production of Omnicomm company are set on 70 pieces of equipment, 25 of which work at the Olympic construction now.

Solution

The first stage of equipment began summer of 2011. In the test mode on a front-end loader and diesel power station the Omnicomm FAS systems are installed. After the first financial results from use of a system were achieved, the company management made the decision on the equipment of all vehicle fleet the system of satellite control Omnicomm. Now in process of purchase of the new CONTINENT equipment carries constantly out its retrofitting by this system.

As note in "CONTINENT", a choice towards the Omnicomm system was made for the reason that the companies were required not so much fixed functions of monitoring, how many the serious system of fuel analytics. These conditions are directly connected with specifics of activity of the company working in the construction industry. As you know, generally special equipment long time works without movement within one object, respectively, information on a run and routes is not the most important criterion for efficiency evaluation of its work. At the same time, large volumes of the fuel spent on building sites are main articles of an expense of construction companies.
