2021: MedInvest Group invests 11 billion rubles in the construction of an oncological center in Novosibirsk
At the end of May 2021, Medinvestgroup Group Group of Companies (owned by the main owner of Pharmstandart Viktor Kharitonin, a large supplier of medicines in Russia, including under state contracts) announced the construction of a new oncological dispensary in Novosibirsk. Investments in the project are estimated at 11 billion rubles, but the exact amount of investments will be determined after the Glavgosexpertiza, group president Sergei Notov told TASS.
According to him, during the year the company was engaged in the coordination of a medical and technical task, which determines the volume of the bed fund, the number of operating rooms, outpatient rooms. About four months ago, experts began to develop a financial and economic model.
The oncological dispensary will be built in the Novosibirsk region by 2024. According to Oleg Ivaninsky, chief physician of the Novosibirsk Regional Clinical Oncological Dispensary, the building is planned to be located on the territory of medical unit No. 25.
By the end of May 2021, a regional oncological dispensary, founded in 1965, was operating in Novosibirsk. It is located in the Leninsky district of the city, on the left bank of the Ob. The institution carries out a full examination of patients for detection or exclusion of oncopathology, diagnosis of tumour formations.
2014: Plans for the construction of an oncologic dispensary
The construction of the oncological dispensary began to be talked about back in February 2014. Then the government noted that the construction of the facility will begin in 2014-2015. At the same time, the model of public-private partnership was considered.
However, the governor of the region Andrei Travnikov suspended the development of the project, since he demanded a revision of the concept: the governor expressed doubt about the feasibility of building an oncological center, according to him, some of the resources should be invested in the development of other institutions.
The oncological dispensary planned to accommodate a reception department, a tent department for 725 beds, 9 treatment and diagnostic departments, a clinic for 510 visits per shift and a boarding house for 60 people[1]
