"Opening the Broker" with the help of "Reksoft" implemented a management system for an enterprise architecture

"Opening the Broker", one of broker companies in Russia, completed the first stage of system implementation of management of corporate architecture of financial institution. On July 16, 2020 Reksoft which became the technology partner reported about it. The project was executed based on the iServer platform from Orbus Software.

Opening Broker works in an investment segment of financial market which clients are especially exacting to convenience and technology level of service. The customer base for July, 2020 totals more than 270 thousand clients. Strategy is based on continuous improvement of services and a regular output of financial technical-products and services for customers. The main objective of the joint project of steel with "Reksoft" fall forward of assessment and quality of the analysis of business initiatives Opening Broker and reduction of an indicator of Time to Market of project implementation for 30%, – Mikhail Hlavna, the Chief information officer of Opening Broker company commented on project objectives.

During the project on management of an enterprise architecture we integrated in a common information space work of our IT specialists from different divisions: business analysts, architects, DevOps-engineers, technical writers, having built in iServer their daily activity within work on projects and in the current activities for support and ensuring uninterrupted operation of services. The implemented system allows us to solve business challenges, first of all: project business services and services, improving a client way, to optimize service processes and also to receive the reasoned answers to such important issues, such as: "On what business services and processes and in what volume shutdown/change of work of this or that IT object will affect (servers, tables, databases and other)?", "Why in staff of IT such number of specialists?", – Darya Shulgat, the head of department of the analysis and testing of department of information technologies of Opening Broker company commented on the project. – In the short term the circle of this knowledge will significantly extend. We will receive a clear picture of what systems and infrastructure are used by this or that division of the company what documents are processed in what systems what processes do not live in digital channels yet. And it is only a part of opportunities which the system of the class Enterprise Architecture in the field of tasks of implementation of constants digital opens changes for our business.

As reference methodology within the project on implementation and configuring of a system TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) is selected. At the same time in the project all current practices of the Opening Broker command in the field of management of IT architecture were also considered and used.

According to the corporate architecture developed by methodology of management in the project progress the configuring of the iServer platform including structuring a repository for storage of architectural artifacts, setup of roles of users of a system and development of templates for modeling was carried out. The metamodel and a set of artifacts for current demands of architectural practice were defined and also the Agreement on modeling setting rules of this process in the company is prepared. The architectural repository for filling by data on such components of architecture as organizational structure, key business processes, information systems and data on their interaction, configuration units of technology architecture was as a result configured.

During the project the combined team systematized enterprise architecture elements for primary loading. Processes on timely updating of the created repository, responsibility for these or those architectural domains which assigned to each of them were built in job descriptions of employees. It will allow in a short time without selection of additional resources to fill a repository on all layers of architecture and to begin to use the analytical iServer tool for the purpose of obtaining the end-to-end analysis.

Training more than 20 employees Opening of Broker to work with the tool, and formation of full internal practice on management of architecture (at the level of solutions, initiatives) became one of the main a project task not just. So, skills for accomplishment of the analysis of influence and dependences of any components registered in a system are pumped deeply over: from strategic (the purposes, the principles, requirements, other) to technology (a node, the equipment, other) and also questions of formation of representations and models (from solution to enterprise) for acceptance of management decisions, – Ilya Kravchuk, the head of functional practice Enterprise architecture of Reksoft company noted.
