The Otkrytiye bank implemented a system in the field of Enterprise Architecture from Orbus Software

2019: Implementation of the iServer platform

On December 16, 2019 years the Reksoft company reported that the Otkrytiye Bank completed the first stage of system implementation of management of corporate architecture of financial institution. According to the statement of Reksoft company, it is one of the Russia's first full-scale implementations of the iServer platform from Orbus Software which is included into the list of world leaders in the field of the solutions Enterprise Architecture (EA), according to Gartner.

"the IT landscape of Otkrytiye bank historically formed as conglomerate of the different IT solutions inherited from earlier absorbed banks. With accession in January, 2019 of B&N Bank to Otkrytiye bank in the integrated IT landscape more than 700 information systems and services were used. As a result of the analysis of all complex of legacy applications which is carried out by Architectural office of bank, to further development 215 information systems were recommended. Other solutions need to be disconnected without risk of loss of any data or processes. For December, 2019 a considerable part of this work is executed, in particular migration on direct systems of products and processes of Ex-B&N Bank is fully completed. However during this work understanding came that further transition from optimization of information infrastructure to its effective development is impossible without use of the specialized tools allowing to structure systemically all complex of technology applications and services, having created thereby a qualitative basis for effective management of an IT landscape. The iServer platform from Orbus Software became a basis of a system. As reference methodology within the project on implementation and configuring of a system TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) is selected. At the same time in the project all current practices of bank in the field of management of IT architecture were also considered and used.

According to the corporate architecture developed by methodology of management, in the project progress the configuring of the iServer platform including structuring a repository for storage of architectural artifacts, setup of roles of users of a system and development of templates for modeling was carried out. The metamodel and a set of artifacts for current demands of architectural practice and the agreement on modeling setting rules of modeling in bank were defined. As a result the architectural repository was filled with data on such components of architecture as organizational structure, key business processes, information systems and data on their interaction, configuration units of technology architecture.

In a project deliverable in a repository of a management system for an enterprise architecture information was entered:

• on more than 700 information systems and services;
• via more than 1000 integration interfaces;

Besides, within a system the specialized portal for communication of employees of the bank on objects of architecture and their functioning is created. On perspective the possibility of its integration with the general corporate portal of bank is put. Also during the Reksoft project trained in work with the platform and certified 25 employees of the bank Opening.

"According to the results of the project the management system for corporate architecture covering all architectural domains is created: Business-Dannye-Prilozheniya-Tekhnologii. According to data of Deloitte company, existence of the correct description of the operating IT landscape gives to business economy to 15% of cost of IT projects only due to cost reduction on collection of data on IT infrastructure.
