2018: Optimization of security work and installation of a retail store equipment
Specialists of ICL Services helped Ozon to optimize a video surveillance system, to reduce staff costs and to simplify security work. Also engineers of ICL Services set and service Ozon pochtomata in 14 cities of Russia. On July 31, 2019 reported about it in ICL Services company.
The warehouse Ozon in the settlement of Stolbishche (Tatarstan) — mezzanine type, in fact, metal three-storyed construction in a warehouse complex. On each floor of a complex — 20-25 rows with racks. A system which would reduce plunders was necessary for the customer, could confirm their fact and provided survey on-site observation of packing, packaging and storage. Among other requirements — integration of video surveillance with security, fire protection systems and a control system of access. So the security service could create reports for work of signallings and sensors and to manage a system in the single interface.
The customer addressed to ICL Services and asked to estimate calculations of the previous contractor. Later he requested the estimate on design, accomplishment of installation and construction works, the equipment and commissioning. Specialists of ICL Services could reduce the total cost of the project, and the company signed the service provision agreement.
After design and exploration work engineers of ICL Services helped the company to select the equipment and to define arrangement of cameras. Later design of the IT system and installation of a video surveillance system and also integration of the fire warning with the separate software package VideoNet began. It helps a security service to analyze records, to install detectors of intersection of the line, detectors of the left objects and to signal about incidents.
In total in a warehouse 6.5 km of cable systems were laid, four video servers, seven switches and more than 200 cameras — at height are installed up to 12 meters. 6-8 people were involved in creation of the uniform observation point, work on an object was controlled by the chief engineer of ICL Services.
As a result all video surveillance system is integrated with control systems of access and the fire systems. At an incident security service specialists can look at records of the cameras close to the sensor, and already then make the decision on evacuation.
The centralized system built by ICL Services reduced the customer's costs for the state and helped a security service to react to threats more quickly.
In parallel with works in a warehouse specialists of ICL Services installed local video surveillance systems on 10-15 of cameras in points of issue of orders — in Kazan, Izhevsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saratov and Ulyanovsk.
In February, 2018 specialists of ICL Services were trained at the Moscow office of the customer and started installation, setup and service of pochtomat of Ozon in several Russian cities.
Engineers of ICL Services are responsible for logistics: take away pochtomata from the customer's warehouse, check integrity after delivery, if necessary fix damages. Then they install the equipment, mount a security system, connect service and user cells.
After installation and setup engineers check communication channels, regulate the angle of capture of the camera, test the device for opening of cells and photograph pochtomat from all directions to confirm installation in that place where the customer planned.
When the premises do not allow to place pochtomat on the planned platform, engineers offer the new place and approve it with the customer.
For 2018 specialists of ICL Services set 468 pochtomat in 14 cities — St. Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Tver, Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Ufa, Surgut and Tyumen.
After delivery, installation, distributing and setup engineers of ICL Services support pochtomata in working order: carry out scheduled-preventive works, change spare parts and fix problems. When communication with pochtomaty vanishes, do not work monitors, not are scanned barcodes or there is a de-energization, engineers leave according to the request from the customer.
"Ozon should have big staff to execute this amount of works. Engineers would have to know how to service network, computers, the equipment, to support and service pochtomata. The engineer on site assesses a situation and at an opportunity solves a problem — recovers a power supply, a communication channel, reboots pochtomat. If the engineer cannot fix a problem independently or replacement of the equipment is required, he contacts the customer's specialists.
If on a location the signal level does not allow to ensure stable functioning, information on a bad signal is carried to the Customer, further he makes the decision on dismantling, or signal multiplication. If the decision is made towards dismantling, then at the corresponding order engineers dismantle pochtomat or transport on a new location.
In total for 2018 engineers left for 2300 requests.
