On May 25, 2023, the American company Palantir and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine announced the signing of an agreement on cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence. In particular, technologies will be used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Bloomberg, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov said that the country uses AI for certain military purposes. In particular, such means are used to decrypt images from satellites and unmanned aerial vehicles. Going forward, he said, Palantir's tools will help officials make decisions about transforming critical infrastructure.

The official statement of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Science says that the partnership involves the use of Palantir technologies in order to restore certain objects affected by the current geopolitical situation. In particular, Palantir's AI tools will be used to assess the state of buildings and infrastructure. In addition, the software of the American company will help in the formation of the most effective program for work.

Palantir and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine will cooperate in the field of AI

The concluded agreement involves four key areas of activity. One of them is the use of digital opportunities to provide public services in electronic form. It is assumed that Palantir software will be used to coordinate the reconstruction of facilities in Ukraine. Another task is to unite efforts in the field of digitalization and innovation. Data and experience on the introduction of digital technologies will also be exchanged with the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

AI would be useful to decide how many new schools are needed. We need to know how many children cannot return to educational institutions, - said Fedorov.[1]
