Rosplazma buys medical modules to create donor centers for 0.5 billion rubles

In August 2024, the Russian Medical Research and Production Center Rosplazma, which is under the jurisdiction of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA), announced a tender for the purchase of medical modules for the creation of donor plasma centers in Perm and Ivanovo. The total amount of the contract is ₽518,7 million. On September 13, 2024, the winner of the tender was determined.

Each of the new plasma centers will be equipped with medical modules that will allow at least 30 thousand liters of plasma to be harvested annually. Delivery of the modules should be completed by the end of 2024. Medical modules include equipment for the procurement, processing, temporary storage and dispensing of plasma, as well as compliance with all necessary fire, hygiene and anti-epidemic standards.

Rosplazma invests 0.5 billion rubles in the creation of donor centers

One of the modules will be located in the Sverdlovsk district of Perm, on the third floor of the building of the general store. The second module is planned to be installed in Ivanovo in the building of the Flagship business center. The modules include a registry, a lobby and a waiting room with an area of ​ ​ at least 100 square meters. m, a transfusiologist's office, a donor rest room, laboratories, a plasmapheresis procedure room with an area of ​ ​ at least 160 square meters. m, a plasma freezing room, a logistics warehouse and other auxiliary premises.

The hardware plasmapheresis procedure will take an average of 45 minutes, and the maximum simultaneous number of donors in the plasmocenter cannot exceed 45 people. 44 staff are provided to serve donors and carry out all the necessary procedures.

The main task of Rosplazma is to ensure domestic production of vital blood products with high-quality raw materials - human plasma for fractionation. As of August 2024, 12 donor plasma centers in stationary and modular versions, as well as two mobile centers, are already operating in various regions of Russia. All of them are equipped with modern equipment for collecting, freezing and storing plasma.[1]
