In August 2024, new computer equipment worth more than ₽135 million was purchased for 39 schools in the Irkutsk region. This update was implemented within the framework of the federal project "Digital Educational Environment" of the national project "Education" and is aimed at improving the conditions of education in educational institutions, including the most remote areas of the region.
According to Interfax, 130 million rubles of the total amount were allocated from the federal budget. Schools in the Irkutsk region received laptops, multifunctional devices, interactive panels, televisions and IP cameras, which will significantly improve the educational process and make it more modern and accessible. Among the schools that received new equipment are educational institutions from such settlements as Irkutsk, Bratsk, Usolye-Sibirskoye, Alarsky and Balagansky districts, as well as other municipalities of the region.

New computers and equipment received not only schools in large cities, but also educational institutions in remote areas, such as Bratsk, Bodaibinsky, Ziminsky and Taishet districts. This ensures equal access to modern educational technologies for all students, regardless of their place of residence.
It is noted that from 2019 to August 2024, within the framework of the national project "Education," 459 educational organizations of the Irkutsk region updated their computer equipment for a total of about ₽1 billion. Other federal programs, such as the Modern School Project and the Modernization of School Education Systems program, also receive new equipment, including laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology rooms.[1]
