2020: Completion of digitization of archive data

The Biorg company, the resident Klastera of information technologies of Skolkovo Foundation, completed two largest projects on digitization of archive data of bodies of ZAGS of the Moscow region and Krasnoyarsk Krai. The Skolkovo Foundation reported about it on December 22, 2020. Nearly 11.5 million data came to the unified state register. Thus, since 2017, using Biorg technologies more than 43 million records about citizens of Russia are digitized.

According to the Federal law and the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation, all archive documents which are stored in departments of ZAGS from 1926 to 2015 should be transferred to an electronic form until the end of December, 2020. And in 2021 they will form a basis of the federal information register of information about the population of Russia. Thanks to it the state will be able to expand the list of the services provided online that especially relevant in the period of a pandemic.

This year became especially indicative for "Biorg" in terms of digitalization in public sector as it matched the difficult period caused by a pandemic. From us it was required to digitize huge data arrays in more short time. But we were already able to do it therefore no territorial remoteness of the ZAGS local offices (which it was possible to reach only on the ferry), climatic features (some departments were in the territory of permafrost) or language specifics (records of the last century with the Japanese hieroglyphs and in other languages) caused special difficulties. The main information about the population of the Saratov, Ivanovo, Voronezh and Tambov regions and also Sevastopol, Sakhalin and Vladivostok was during this time transferred to an electronic form. Completing became the largest projects – for the Moscow region and Krasnoyarsk Krai.
