"RT-Invest the Transport Systems" begins the project for 12 years and 10 billion rubles

On March 31, 2015 it became known of providing communication services by MegaFon mobile operator in the project of a federal system of collection of a payment from heavy-load transport in which the "RT-Invest Transport Systems" company (RTITS) is engaged.

Project Tasks

According to arrangements MegaFon will provide to RTITS a set of services which are among:

• providing 563 channels with reservation on federal highways,
• 4 ports of access to speed of 10 Gbps
• 144 channels of access to offices.

• single network of L3 IP VPN for all network of offices of service of SVP (The centers of information support of users in all subjects of Russia, including the remote TsIPP which are located in close proximity to multilateral automobile boundary transitions);
• the main and reserve communication channels between the main and reserve DPC of SVP at a speed of 20 Gbps;
• data services from the SVP onboard devices (up to 2 million devices);
• 481 communication channels from DPC before frame constructions of a System of Stationary Control at speeds from 2 to 10 Mbps and also alternative channels of communication for the frame constructions set in places of the greatest intensity of the movement of the motor transport;
• services of Internet access with reservation and DoS/DDoS counteraction services to the attacks on speed of 10 Gbps;
• communication channels for central and regional offices (branches) "RT-Invest the Transport Systems";
• lease provision of services stoykomest for placement of the equipment of reserve DPC of SVP in DPC of MegaFon company in Samara (Tier III) with additional opportunities for monitoring and access control.

At capacities of the operator it is necessary to create a control system over execution of project requirements. MegaFon will provide corporate mobile communication to the staff of RTITS.

The reason of the choice by the partner of MegaFon - a covering communication of network of roads. The total indicator of a covering at this operator reaches 93.8%, according to periodic monitoring of Roskomnadzor.

The contract is expected 12.5 years during which MegaFon will receive about 10 billion rubles of the SIM card of the operator it is necessary to install in special devices of trucks (which permitted weight more than 12 t). Devices will periodically send information on the way passed by the car. The truck will be monitored by the systems of satellite navigation.

Aliya Beketova, the press secretary of MegaFon, noted the strategic interest of the project for the company.

The main selection terms of communication service provider were:

• To create capability of the supplier in the shortest possible time a single telecommunication network for all SVP components.
• The maximum covering mobile communication of roads of federal importance for ensuring the most correct operation of the SVP onboard devices – according to Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media at MegaFon this indicator is 93.8% that is the best indicator in comparison with other operators.
• Possibility of placement of the equipment of reserve DPC of a system in the Data processing center having the certificate of conformity to requirements of the TIER III standard, the organization of its full-fledged connectivity with the main DPC of a system, which is located to Tver, ensuring protection against DDoS of the attacks on information resources of the Operator of a system, etc.
