Raiffeisenbank implemented a management system for program IT assets

On June 14, 2016 the I-Teco company announced completion of works on system implementation of accounting and management of program IT assets on the platform of the HP solution Asset Manager in JSC Raiffeisenbank.

The management of Raiffeisenbank made the decision on use of methodology of Software Asset Management (SAM, management of program IT assets). According to the results of tender, the right to project implementation was acquired by I-Teco company.

Project Progress

Having completed inspection of processes and IT systems of bank, the project team of I-Teco developed the policy of management, an accounting procedure and control of operation of software products, jointly with specialists of bank the project of process of management of licenses softwares and program assets is created, the license portfolio of the customer is built.

The next stage of the project included works on deployment of the software HP Asset Manager and HP Universal Discovery for Oracle License Management, integration HP Asset Manager with the systems of inventory of software – MS SCCM HP UCMDB and other systems of bank, including the systems of accounting, project management, identification of users. Besides, HP Asset Manager information on the program assets which were purchased by bank earlier, agreements on the acquisition and support of licenses, purchasing requests given about workstations, physical and virtual servers was loaded into a system.

All data are normalized and verified that helped to compare purchased, really set and used licenses. Within the project regulations of process of management of software licenses and program assets are developed, for key participants of process on work with a system the training is provided, and for heads and specialists of DIT of bank the user representations and reports are configured.

Implementation of HP of UD for OLMS – uncommon event already in itself, and together with HP Asset Manager it becomes sign and even unique. Remarkable this project is done by developments of own algorithm significantly optimizing the speed of loading and reconciliation of data which arrive at least from four different systems and also implementation of calculation of license compliance for difficult models of use in the environment with high extent of virtualization and multivariable licensing. On the example of this success story we want to show that system complexity of accounting – not a problem, but a guarantee of high accuracy of results. The solution proposed by specialists of I-Teco will allow us to raise both transparency of acquisition of software licenses, and quality of control of use of the software licenses existing in bank, at the same time promoting operational providing quantitative and financial information about the considered licenses. We realize that, as well as any project on change of account policy and implementation in a business conduct of the organization of new processes, this project will not yield instant results and momentary effect. However this year we expect to receive significant economy due to optimization of purchase of software and increase in degree of usability of the available licenses.
