Prerequisites
The outdated version of the ERP system did not satisfy the scope of Reima tasks and the efficiency of solving them. Integration with logistics provider systems on the one hand and distributors and own retail outlets on the other hand required an effective commodity management system. Also, one of the main difficulties was the long and labor-intensive process of preparing corporate reporting. It was necessary to implement the registration of goods, taking into account export VAT and internal VAT at different rates. The development of electronic sales channels also required a system upgrade. Integration with existing systems in the head office of the Finnish office was required, primarily with corporate Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
Choice of solution
According to the customer, the Microsoft Dynamics NAV system performed well at the Reima headquarters. Therefore, for the office in Russia, it was decided to dwell on the current version of the system, simultaneously with the transition to it in the head office. This made it possible to preserve the existing functionality at headquarters and automate the business processes of sales, logistics, finance, warehouse.
Flexible integration with Russian and foreign software also helped to make a choice in favor of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016.
Project progress
The Awara IT team offered a solution both in terms of automation of key Reima business processes and in terms of finance.
The problem of reporting was solved: accounting and tax accounting were delivered, the preparation and delivery of tax and accounting reports directly from the Microsoft Dynamics NAV system was automated, corporate reports under IFRS were automated.
During the project implementation, for the convenience of sales and senior management, an additional tool based on Microsoft Power BI was proposed, which subsequently simplified the analytics and preparation of visual reports.
