Reksoft introduced the YouTrack solution developed by JetBrains into the practice of project management

2021: Implementation in project management of a solution from JetBrains

On October 13, 2021, Reksoft, one of the Russian developers of digital solutions, announced that it had introduced a YouTrack solution from JetBrains into its project management practice.

Reksoft has been a partner for more than 30 years in the implementation of digital transformation projects and increasing the competitiveness of a number of Russian and international customers. The company helps its customers implement business models and digital products for business development, as well as manage digitalization projects.  At the same time, the company has several dozen complex complex projects with various streams inside them.

"Implementation of projects with multiple external dependencies dictates increased requirements for the quality of project management. Therefore, we are constantly looking for opportunities to optimize our production processes and tools for their automation. In particular, by testing the YouTrack from the company JetBrains, we identified a number of additional opportunities for working with projects of high complexity. Due to its flexibility, the YouTrack allows us to better integrate our capabilities into our processes and techniques of design work, and also seamlessly interacts with other JetBrains products deployed in Reksoft. As a result, work on projects becomes more predictable and risk-free, " commented by Sergey Stepanov, director of the design department of Reksoft.

For example, the Reksoft team implemented product customization, which allows you to collect trace matrices in real time from initial business requirements to executing test scenarios and writing off work on atomic tasks. In particular, this made it possible to automatically generate notifications about changes to previously agreed requirements or architectural solutions for responsible project team members assigned to dependent tasks (test scenarios, code development, documentation, etc.).

In addition, unlike competing products, YouTrack has a supported server version, which is important for the Reksoft team, as well as for the tasks of company customers who cannot work with software running in public cloud environments by corporate policies.

As of mid-October 2021, YouTrack is used in three commercial strips "Reksoft," and migration is underway in several more projects. The company has formed and debugged a business process for migration to a tracker, which makes the transition quite seamless.
