2022: Implementation of the "Celsius" solution

PJSC MTS"" on October 27, 2022 announced the introduction of its own IoT solution for round-the-clock monitoring of the climate regime Celsius"" in, Resurrection Cathedral (Arzamas) which is an object of cultural heritage. RUSSIAN FEDERATION Smart MTS technologies will help preserve the facade of the temple and its interior decoration.

In time the reconstruction of the Resurrection Cathedral Arzamas , Celsius monitoring sensors operating on the basis of a network Internet of things were installed in. NB-IoT Smart sensors monitor changes in the microclimate (temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure) around the clock, thereby allowing you to preserve the exterior and interior decoration of the temple, including paintings, ancient icons and frescoes of the 18th century. The device does not require installation work or special skills for installation: thanks to this, permission was obtained to use it at cultural a heritage site, where large-scale construction work is prohibited.

Celsius sensors allow not only to record current indicators of temperature, humidity and pressure in certain parts of the temple, but also to track changes in the microclimate in retrospect: data is transmitted to the MTS cloud due to the constant connection of devices to the NB-IoT network. In case of a sudden deviation from the specified parameters, the restorers will instantly receive a notification in the application and will be able to promptly respond to the incident, thereby saving the objects stored in the temple that carry cultural and historical value.

MTS develops digital technologies not only in order to solve business problems. We implement our IoT solutions at social infrastructure facilities, and now we help to preserve cultural heritage monuments. In 2022, we provided regional maternity hospitals, museums, libraries and even a station on the South Pole with hundreds of microclimate monitoring sensors. The Celsius solution is indispensable in conditions when it is impossible to carry out dismantling work for installing devices, while you need to track, transfer and store a large array of data - it was these introductory ones that were before us in the case of the Resurrection Cathedral in Arzamas. I am sure that the experience we have gained will help preserve dozens of cultural heritage monuments throughout Russia, "said Andrei Plavich, head of the Center for the Development of Networks and Solutions Based on MTS Internet of Things Devices.
