Graphic models of pedestrian navigation of the city of Moscow

Geocentre-Consulting Ltd completed the works on the Public contract with State governmental agency of the city of Moscow - the Center of the organization of traffic of the Government of Moscow (GKU TSODD of Moscow).

Within performance of the Government contract by Geocentre-Consulting company layout charts, information filling and graphic models of elements of pedestrian transport navigation (pedestrian steles) which are subject to installation within territories of pedestrian zones of the city of Moscow were developed.

The developed models consider need of placement of the map on a navigation stele according to gaze direction of the pedestrian that together with the plotted closest points of interest facilitates orientation of the pedestrian on location.

2016

Mosgortrans - the My Street project

Geocentre-Consulting Ltd completed at the end of 2016 the works on the Agreement with the State unitary enterprise of the city of Moscow Mosgortrans. Works were carried out within program implementation "My street". This program is one of the largest projects on improvement of the city of Moscow and, in addition to other works, includes creation of convenient street navigation.

Geocentre-Consulting Ltd created models of navigation signs for a number of passenger shelters which entered the current stage of the program for improvement "My street".

Mosgortransniiproyekt

Problems of development of city passenger transport and the related questions of operation - some of the major city problems. One of the oldest project and research institutes of our country - SUE Mosgortransniiproyekt - pays much attention to the solution of a range of the problems connected with improvement and development of city transport of the capital.

Into the forefront, including, there are issues of updating of the available databases in this connection the Institute announced request for proposals on execution of works on a research of the attributive and graphic database of route network of public transport of Moscow, determination of a database structure and development of regulations of the analysis and monitoring of quality of transportations of passengers and baggage by the motor transport in the city message (2016).

Geocentre-Consulting Ltd became in the fall of 2016 the winner of the carried-out request for proposals and is ready to start execution of works right after the conclusion of the relevant agreement.

2014-2015: The Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development creates transport model of the capital

Geocentre-Consulting Ltd for already several years takes part in project implementation, connected with the global city program of the Government of Moscow for development of road and transport infrastructure of the city. One of the important directions of this difficult comprehensive program is the project on creation of an automated system of modeling of the Moscow transport hub (Transport model) within which the Geocentre-Consulting company performs large volume of works on collecting and processing of special information on a street road network of the city (UDS).

The Complex transport graph who was developed is the cornerstone of Transport model of the city and continues to develop the company specially taking into account functional problems and technical features of this system. The complex transport graph includes information on an opportunity and conditions of movement by motor and city land transport and also railway, the subway, pedestrians and physically disabled people of movement.

In total with other huge data arrays on the UDS current organization (cycles of operation of traffic lights, detailed schemes of the organization of traffic, repairs of roads, reconstruction of streets, a razrytiya and so forth) the staff of TsODD uses Transport model develops plans of reconstruction and construction of new elements and UDS nodes for optimization of the repair schedules influencing the movement on specific sections of UDS, and carries out many other tasks directed to improvement of the organization of traffic in the city.

On August 19, 2014 the Geocentre-Consulting company announced a victory in an auction on delivery of geodetails to the territory of the city of Moscow and the Moscow region to the Center of the organization of traffic of the Government of Moscow.

Project Tasks

Within the signed contract Geocentre-Consulting will transfer geoinformation data set to the territory of Moscow and the Moscow region, in structure:

• digital set of basic layers
• the uniform graph of traffic flows, in structure:
  • columns of automobile traffic,
  • columns of the movement of the subway,
  • columns of railway traffic,
  • columns of the movement of land passenger transport
  • interest points

The delivered data should be used in all subordinated organizations of Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development and in its different projects, including, within development of transport model of the city of Moscow, in a city intelligent transport system, in other projects:

• in mobile applications on informing citizens on transportations by land city passenger transport
• on the Websites of Department of transport and the subordinated organizations
• in workplaces of an automated system of supervisory control, control and security of transportations by land city passenger transport in the city of Moscow etc.
