Rosinzhiniring Ltd prepares the platform for corporate GIS

The Russian companies «Data+» also Esri CIS announced in the joint press release of January 28, 2013 deployment of a software package ArcGIS for Rosinzhiniring of group of companies as the platform corporate GIS.

Background

Design of a tourist cluster in the North Caucasus revealed need of use of a corporate geographic information system (GIS) as a basis for the system of effective monitoring and acceptance of management decisions for Rosinzhiniring Ltd.

Providing a reliable scalable system of the corporate level what there corresponds the ArcGIS complex of production of Esri company to became the main selection term of the platform for new GIS.

Solution

Staff of Rosinzhiniring Ltd together with engineers of "DATA+" and Esri CIS unrolled and put into operation ArcGIS Server Advanced Enterprise – together with Microsoft SQL Server DBMS. This solution also became a basis of corporate GIS for placement of space data on designed projects.

A wide choice of client access to GIS data gave to employees of "Rosinzhiniring" functionality of ArcGIS Server and add-on modules:

• ArcGIS for Desktop giving a range of various functionality for viewing, editing and the analysis of GIS data;
• the products of Autodesk allowing both to edit directly GIS data, and to apply them as a basis at design;
• own Web portal allowing all employees to get simple and convenient access to published by GIS data, using basic opportunities of viewing and the analysis of space and semantic information;
• ArcGIS for Mobile supporting access to GIS data from mobile devices.
