2020: Automation of the work of field teams of electric grid companies

To improve the efficiency of equipment monitoring, reduce accident risks and minimize costs, the management of the power grid company decided to introduce modern mobile technologies. Protected tabletsMIG T8 is used as the main tool of the field engineer's automated workplace. Thanks to tablets, electricians can fully perform their work and keep in touch with the dispatcher at any time of the year and in any weather conditions. The equipment works stably in low temperatures, rain and snow; the tablet screen is adapted to the bright sun, glove work is supported; communication is stable even in remote areas or areas with weak coverage; and the positioning of mobile teams on the map is exactly up to 1 m.

The equipment meets the information security requirements:

• The devices are preinstalled with a MDM system for remote administration and a VipNet Client VPN client.

In addition, one of the key conditions for selecting equipment was compliance with the requirements for service and technical support in order to eliminate the risks of downtime of the automated system.

According to the results of 1.5 years of operation, the total number of service calls did not exceed 1% of the total volume of supplied devices, the requirements for support and service for existing requests were fully complied with by the equipment manufacturer.
