Rossotrudnichestvo creates a stable IT infrastructure based on Astra Group solutions

2024: Transition to ALD Pro for Astra Linux

Astra Group and the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) announce the completion of the transition from MS Active Directory to the ALD Pro directory service for the Astra Linux operating system. This was an important step in creating a stable domestic IT infrastructure and reducing dependence on foreign solutions. Astra Group announced this on March 4, 2025.

The project affected 200 staff jobs and 15 customer servers, and in order to ensure stable and efficient work of employees even during technical work, it was decided to divide all the actions of IT specialists into several key stages. First, the system was carefully tested for six months, then it was updated to the most current version and after that it was put into operation.

We faced a number of complex and non-trivial tasks that require in-depth analysis of logs, system operations and operational interaction, as well as the search and application of non-standard solutions. Work on the project was not easy, but thanks to a well-coordinated team, we together with partners created an infrastructure that will ensure efficiency and stability of work processes for our client, "said Alexander Abdurakhimov, Head of Corporate Customer Relations at Astra Group.
