"Rostov the Arena" and Kaliningrad Stadium are equipped with solutions of Cisco

On December 24, 2018 the Cisco Systems Russia company reported that "Rostov the Arena" and Kaliningrad Stadium are equipped with solutions of Cisco which ensure functioning of local computer networks, Wi-fi networks of high density and security systems.

According to the company, according to requirements which are imposed to stadiums for holding the international competitions it was necessary to unroll the public network Wi-fi and other IT infrastructure capable to work in the conditions of a high load.

Wireless network of high density – the difficult solution implemented taking into account a set of nuances: beginning from the choice of locations of access points, radio inspection of an object and finishing with change of a radio environment "on the air" during the match and strict requirements to reliability. During the football matches in the summer of 2018 all infrastructure worked smoothly, implementing up to 20 thousand connections at the same time with a speed from 5 to 10 Mbps. The complex of installed solutions integrated network solutions of corporate (Cisco Catalyst) and industrial (Cisco Industrial Ethernet) of classes, products for DPC (Cisco Nexus, Cisco UCS) and means of information security (Cisco FirePower).

Could use summer of 2018 up to 80 thousand fans of the football matches which were taking place in the territory of sport centers Kaliningrad Stadium and "Rostov the Arena" free high-speed networks Wi-fi on the basis of solutions of Cisco. For December, 2018 in the extensive territory of two stadiums safe and high-speed Internet access, and, therefore, an opportunity to communicate and share the impressions of matches is provided to the audience.
