2024: Implementation of the Big Data Analysis System
Russian Post has introduced a big data analysis system to build effective international logistics. This will allow the company to more accurately predict delivery times, manage risks, build optimal logistics routes and increase the safety of shipment. This was announced by the Russian Post on March 5, 2024.
The Mail's own transaction system operates on the basis of a single information and analytical platform DataCloud. It processes not only internal information of the company, but also receives data from external counterparties, including foreign partners. Everything is based on verified data on the volume and quality of services provided between all participants in the delivery chain (starting from the moment of ordering goods on the marketplace and ending with the delivery to the recipient).
The predictive models implemented allow you to effectively build logistics routes, find bottlenecks and prevent failures. Machine learning helps the platform predict delivery times at all stages.
The transactional system has a modular structure and includes a data quality module, an integration module responsible for collecting information, as well as a window building module, BI reporting and Data Science. Every day it processes more than 1TB of the data delta, and in total, as of March 2024, about 4TB of information is used to prepare reports.
The availability of verified data allows you to quickly solve a fairly large list of tasks: from building standard reports required by managers, key clients or colleagues responsible for billing, to managing the risks that may arise during the delivery process. There is an already established concept of "Data Driven Company" - as a result of our activities, we see the construction of just such a company, "said Dmitry Chudinov, Deputy General Director of the Post Office. |
