On April 2, 2019 it became known what the FGUP Russian Post selected the developer of the international strategy of ANO Russian Government Analytical Centre (ATs). Russian Post will select ATs for development of the international strategy of nearly 5 million rubles.

According to documentation, Russian Post is going to expand a range of the rendered services in international market, to develop a product line and, as a result, to increase revenue. The international business is one of the most priority activities of Russian Post which was selected in the separate block recently.

Russian Post is an active player in the market of logistics services for e-commerce industry where cross-border international mailings - one of the most demanded logistical channels, - told in the press service of the enterprise. - The share of the international business in revenue of Russian Post for April, 2019 makes about 20%". Russian Post expects that in the long term three-four years it can be equal to a share of domestic market.

ATs is going to develop strategy in three stages in 13 weeks (in June, 2019). The analyst of Finam Group Leonid Delitsyn, having examined purchase, paid attention to the scenario of development by means of a marketplace provided by the first development stage of strategy.

It is required to analyze several options of such development, first of which assumes creation of this marketplace with the strategic foreign partner, the second - creation of a line of logistic products for marketplaces, the third - creation of logistic products together with the foreign express operator. The Russian mail operator expects to create a marketplace or to offer the logistics services to the existing marketplace, - Leonid Delitsyn noted

Strategy will include the following sections:

  • strategic positioning outside the Russian Federation,
  • international products
  • the international business activity out of the Russian Federation.

According to an assigned task of ATs it is necessary to estimate three options of possible international development of the enterprise and also to separately analyze logistic solutions for the direction Russia - China[1].
