2020: Talmer will supply the server hardware for the amount of 2.11 billion rubles.
Large-scale delivery of the server hardware with its subsequent installation in the Russian Railway will be performed by Talmer company, through Forpost company for 97% belonging to the entrepreneur Anton Cherepennikov, the owner and the CEO of "IKS of holding". It became known on January 31, 2020.
Results of the corresponding auction of the Russian Railway with the starting maximum price of contract of 2.14 billion rubles testify to it. The procedure was started on December 25, 2019. According to the protocol of the tender commission published on January 31, 2020, in biddings, except Talmer one more company whose name is not given in the document took part. The price proposal of the winner made 2.11 billion rubles — decrease from the basic price of lot for 1.3%.
Specific vendors of the purchased equipment were not stated in the technical project. On separate technical characteristics (for example, the frequency of operation of chips) could only draw a conclusion that they will be under construction for foreign processors.
For January 31, 2020 in the Russian Railway could not answer a question what equipment of producers offered in the request "Talmer".
As it appears from the documents posted on the website of state procurements, the Russian Railway is required 49 servers of five types — 15 one, 30 of the second, four third and on the one fifth and fourth. The first type means use of two 18-core processors with a frequency of 3.7 GHz. In it it has to be used a cache memory of the third level with a total capacity of 200 MB, RAM on 1500 GB, with a frequency of 2600 MHz, four drives on 300 GB everyone.
The second type means use of four 40-core processors with a frequency of 3.8 GHz. In it it has to be used a cache memory of the fourth level with a total capacity of 496 MB, RAM on 4096 GB, eight drives on 250 GB everyone.
The third type means use of four 40-core processors with a frequency of 2.92 GHz. In it RAM on 8 TB, eight drives on 900 GB everyone should be used. The fourth type means use of 16 170-core processors with a frequency of 3.7 GHz. In it RAM on 8 TB, 15 drives on 780 GB everyone should be used. The fifth type also means use of 16 170-core processors with a frequency of 3.7 GHz. In it RAM on 8 TB, 15 drives on 780 GB everyone also should be used.
The specified equipment will be distributed between Major computer center of the Russian Railway in Moscow, the Moscow data processing center Russian Railway and also the Ekaterinburg[1].
