The X-Com Group of Companies has completed a project to introduce a video conferencing system at the Russian University of Cooperation, one of the country's trade and economic universities. The communication platform allowed the customer to hold the main solemn event with the participation of 18 regional branches and 7 representative offices. X-Com announced this on December 25, 2023.
To ensure the participation of representatives of regional divisions in the forum, the Russian University of Cooperation needed to equip the conference room of the head building with a video conferencing system (VKS).
The contractor for the project was X-Com, which is part of the Group of Companies of the same name and previously implemented a number of large-scale IT projects for this customer. The task was complicated by tight deadlines - no more than 10 days remained before the start of the forum were allotted for its solution. X-Com experts analyzed the customer's requirements for the solution and offered a flexible solution that allows the customer to conduct teleconferences of any level.
The workplaces of the participants were equipped with personal displays and microphone consoles of the congress system, providing the effect of live communication. Large displays are installed at the end and on the sides of the conference room for collective display of visual content. On the walls there are video cameras with intelligent guidance on the active speaker and auto-framing. The components of the solution are combined through an AV switching system. Centralized control of the complex and moderation of teleconferences are carried out from a separately equipped operator's place.
The project was carried out in strict accordance with the conditions of the customer. The hall equipped within the framework of the project is intended to become a key platform for discussing strategic issues of the development of cooperation in Russia.
