2023: Plan to equip the western bypass of Krasnodar with domestic technologies

The high-speed section of the Don M-4 - Far Western Bypass of Krasnodar (DZOK) highway will be equipped with domestic technologies that increase road safety. A complex of intelligent transport solutions based on an automated traffic management system will be introduced by Kazan-Telematics (part of the Telematics concern). The decision will allow you to manage traffic and inform drivers about the traffic situation. This was announced on May 18, 2023 by the Telematics concern.

To improve road safety, an automated traffic control system (ASUDD) will work on the far western bypass of Krasnodar. To do this, more than 480 units of intelligent equipment will be installed on the highway: cameras, transport detectors, weather stations. If an emergency situation occurs on the road, appropriate messages for drivers will appear on the information boards installed on the highway. Thanks to this, they will be able to reduce speed in advance, change the lane or adjust the route.

At DZOK, an automated traffic control system will bring the interaction of road transport with the road to a new level, making moving along the highway more comfortable and safe. Information obtained from cameras, transport detectors and other intelligent equipment will form the most optimal recommendations on the route for all participants in the movement. The flexibility and variability of the technologies of the Telematics concern allow us to comprehensively approach the implementation of projects throughout Russia and choose exactly the set of solutions that will help increase the safety and efficiency of the transport process on a specific section of the road, "said Marcel Nigmetzyanov, Deputy General Director of the Telematics concern.

Charging at DZOK, as well as on the entire route of the Don M-4, will work according to the barrier type on the solution of domestic development. The Rutall company (part of the Telematics concern) will introduce it and equip it with toll collection points. Since 2012, its software and hardware solutions have successfully exploited the payment of almost the entire length of the key transport artery of the south of Russia - the Don M-4.

The launch of the far western bypass of Krasnodar is part of a project to develop automobile approaches to the Crimean bridge. The length of the highway will be 51.2 km. The opening of traffic on this site is scheduled for the summer of 2023. DZOK will not only reduce the time on the way from the central regions to the Black Sea, but also improve the road situation in Krasnodar by reducing transit traffic.
