The IT subsidiary of Rosseti is switching to the Russian postal system for 1.3 billion rubles

On November 2, 2023, Rosseti Tsygna, the chief IT integrator of the Rosseti group, announced a tender for the purchase of the Russian postal system. It is planned to spend more than 1.3 billion rubles on the implementation of the relevant project.

In accordance with the terms of reference, the mail system should include a mail server, as well as a desktop client and a web client for e-mail, calendars and contacts. It is necessary to ensure the ability to migrate users from the Microsoft Exchange mail system to a domestic platform with a complete transfer of all letters and folders. In addition, integration with a single directory service based on Microsoft Active Directory, Samba DC and FreeIPA is required for centralized account management. Among other required functions, the following are declared:

  • The ability to synchronize emails, folders and calendar events with Microsoft Exchange;
  • The ability to work with domain names in national encodings in accordance with RFC 3492, 5891;
  • The ability to generate outgoing letters in HTML format;
  • Support for integration with Kaspersky Anti Target Attack and Kaspersky Security for mail servers;
  • Support for protected versions of protocols: IMAPs, SMTPs, HTTPs;
  • The ability to integrate with the SIEM system for transmitting audit events;
  • The ability to ensure the operation of cryptographic protocols TLS, SSL.

Rosseti Tsigna announced a tender for the purchase of the Russian postal system

Supplied ON shall be capable of installation, deployment and use on Russian operating systems 9 Alt Server , Astra Linux 1.7 and 7.3 RED OS. The web client must run stably on computers with a 2.0 GHz x86_64 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 3 GB of free space on the drive.

The initial contract price is 1 332 090 000 rubles. A bidder can be any legal entity or several legal entities acting on the side of one bidder.[1]
