Russneft upgrades the system of corporate communications

JSC Oil Company "Russneft" started the system of the joint communications on the platform Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and Microsoft Exchange 2010, integrated with the existing terminals of video conference and telephony. The company acted as the partner of the project Softline, the press service of integrator reported on May 6, 2013.

Start

Pilot project stage is begun in 2012 with deployment of servers of the integrated system of communications on a basis Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and Microsoft Exchange 2010. During the second stage of works the platform of the joint communications managed to be connected with the existing terminals of video conference Cisco VCS and Codian and also with telephony Avaya.

Openness

A system is implemented as open and allows to increase functionality and performance in the future. The organized system of audio/video conferences allows users to communicate by means of instant messages, to hold the presentations, to answer calls both in network of the company, and beyond its limits. In addition on the Microsoft Exchange 2010 platform means of record of voice messages is implemented and the answering machine is configured. Simultaneous operation of two servers allows to provide smooth functioning of the integrated system of communications and balancing of loading.

The expanded communication framework considerably increased efficiency and quality of communications between personnel of holding Russneft Oil Company in Moscow and Nizhnevartovsk. At the expense of the configured external access from portable devices to the system of corporate communications, the mobility of users, efficiency of acceptance of management decisions increased.

Alexey Somov, the head of department of infrastructure projects of department of solutions Microsoft of the company Softline, noted: "It was, certainly, the interesting project, especially regarding integration with the system of video conference Cisco- Tandberg where we implemented the difficult not standard solution. We implemented the platform of the joint communications: in addition to standard opportunities a system provides interaction from already existing based on Cisco Video Communication Server and allows to carry out video conferences with display of several users at the same time. Due to the implementation of means of archiving and monitoring intended for collection of information from instant messages and detailing of calls the security level of corporate data was raised. A system works steadily, and we are ready to apply this experience of successful implementation, including, based on the new version of a product Microsoft Lync Server 2013".
