2019: Award enforcement of Cisco in the field of networks on the basis of intentions

On November 28, 2019 Cisco reported that its solutions in the field of networks on the basis of intentions were applied at creation of corporate IT infrastructure at office S7 Group in Novosibirsk. Within the project for the first time in Russia the architecture of Cisco DNA (Digital Network Architecture) which allowed to automate as much as possible process of deployment of network and its further operation was applied. The project was implemented with support the partner prime minister of Cisco in Russia – Iskusstvo integratsii LLC.

S7 Group – one of the first companies in Russia using Cisco DNA for digital transformation of the business however for November, 2019 go works on implementation and for many other customers in the most different industries. According to the internal research Cisco, more than 80% of labor costs direct IT services of clients to operation of networks, generally to collecting and information analysis for fault recovery. Cisco DNA helps to trace a set of parameters in real time and to fix problems before the complaint came to department of technical support. In other words, this architecture provides the maximum automation and reliability of network, accelerates problem solving and, eventually, allows to redirect resources of IT departments from maintenance of network on strategic development of infrastructure.

The Cisco DNA Center controller which is in S7 Group IT system heart integrates means of network virtualization, automation and analytics. It provides the high level of automation in wire and wireless networks, removing a lot of routine work from IT personnel and significantly simplifying implementation of changes and fault finding.

on Smooth functioning of corporate IT systems – a basis of business of S7 Group therefore the idle times connected with unavailability of network, implementation of this architecture and moving to other building, to us are inadmissible. We avoided these risks thanks to process automation based on Cisco DNA. Besides, literally for several weeks it was succeeded to prepare and unroll network at the opened office on 1.5 thousand ports. Thus, Cisco DNA allowed us to reduce significantly a set-up time and moving. For creation of IT infrastructure in S7 Group, in addition to Cisco DNA, almost all architecture of Cisco are used: the equipment for switching, routing, wireless access and products in the field of providing information security. In network infrastructure wireless access points of Cisco, controllers Cisco 5520 Wireless Controller and high-speed switches Cisco Catalyst 9300/9500 are used. To increase security of a system and personal data, the management system and control is applied by access to network Cisco Identity Services Engine.

The high level of information security of corporate network S7 Group managed to be provided, having applied technology of detection of incidents of security in the ciphered traffic of Cisco Encrypted Traffic Analytics and also already proved concepts "network as the sensor" (Network-as-a-Sensor) and "network as a control facility" (Network-as-Enforсer). "The network as the sensor" uses the NetFlow technology capable to continuously register all data streams passing through routers, switches and wireless Cisco devices. In process of development of analytics the network can be applied as the control facility which is quickly transferring data on threats.
