2021: Switch to Electronic PDU Suppliers via Synerdocs
The distributor of shoes and accessories SOHO Fashion exchanges with suppliers of electronic PDUs containing labeling data through the Synerdocs service. This was announced by Directum (Directum) on March 4, 2021.
Shoes became one of the first product groups that were subject to mandatory labeling.
The transformation of processes to work with labeled goods included several stages:
- Equipment upgrades:
- replacement scanners barcodes;
- conversion of cash registers;
- replacement of data collection terminals;
- Revision of the accounting system;
- Marking of retail network and distribution center product balances, training of personnel and prohibition of sales of products without identification codes;
- Switch to EDO with partners.
We went to work with labeled goods when these technologies in Russia were just starting to test. In the structure of our company there was already a "Department of Goods Movement," responsible for all manipulations of the nomenclature. The employees of this department have been added tasks for obtaining marking codes, including description of the item, said Valery Razuvaev, Director of IT SOHO FASHION

In order to work with marked goods, the seller and supplier must meet a number of conditions. One of them is the use of universal transfer documents (UPD) in shipping and receiving products. The group of companies chose Synerdocs as the operator of EDOs for the exchange of electronic PDUs. The service is the official partner of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT), the developer of the system of digital marking and tracking of goods Honest Sign.
The tagged item processing chain in your company includes:
- obtaining codes;
- labelling of products in a European warehouse (Poland, Germany, Baltic countries);
- customs clearance and import. If the codes were not specified in the customs declaration, the goods cannot be entered into sales;
- acceptance of products according to marking codes (CM) and putting into circulation at the importer's warehouse;
- implementation in the wholesale channel between the own organizations;
- transfer to the retailer for sale in retail;
- disposal of goods through cash registers.
The group of companies chose the option with a full description of the balances. Information about the product is registered in GS1, data is automatically sent to the marking system, where the order of codes through the accounting platform becomes available. The information is transmitted to the GIS MT. The marking codes are sent to the company information system, from where the numbers are printed. The generated CM are put into circulation, as well as the imported goods accepted in the warehouse. All information is synchronized with the GIS of the MT.
Input of products from KM is automated and is performed by pressing one button. In the same way, the procedures for writing off goods, transferring them for their own needs and selling them in the wholesale channel were implemented.
Thanks to the modern work on the transition to labeling, SOHO Fashion was able to rebuild all processes in accordance with the deadlines set by law.
