"The system operator Edinoy power systems" unrolled a management system for means of authentication

On February 2, 2015 the Aladdin R.D. company announced project completion on creation of the protected IT infrastructure for "System Operator of the Unified Energy System" (JSC SO UES). For management of means of authentication and the electronic signature in executive office of JSC SO UES the software technology of JaCarta Management System is used.

Since 2005 for ensuring confidential information protection JSC SO UES uses technology developments of Aladdin R.D.

For February 2, 2015 as a part of complex IT infrastructure a number of products and solutions works. USB keys are used as personal means of authentication and the protected storage of user data, support at the hardware level work with digital certificates and the electronic signature. For confidential information protection and personal data from unauthorized access, copying, damage, theft or forced withdrawal Secret Disk products of the line – Secret Disk Server NG (data protection on the server), Secret Disk 4 (data protection on the personal computer or the notebook) and Secret Disk Enterprise were implemented (a corporate system of confidential information protection with centralized operation). All projects are executed in partnership with ELVIS-PLUS company.

Project Progress

The next stage - system implementation of management of lifecycle of means of authentication and the electronic signature - JaCarta Management System.

Alexey Gurevich, the head of department of information security of Department of special programs, data protection and the mode of JSC SO UES, told: "Premises to creation of such security subsystem in JSC SO UES was implementation of a corporate system of electronic document management that caused existence of a large number of means of authentication and the storage of key information used by employees of JSC SO UES that in turn significantly complicated management and the organization of purchase planning of these means in the "manual" mode. Use of JaCarta Management System helps to solve assigned tasks of management of means of authentication and storage of key information in a number of divisions of executive office of JSC SO UES. There is a need of further development of a management system for key carriers on the JaCarta Management System platform by implementation in all JSC SO UES taking into account three-level hierarchy of Certification center JSC SO UES which will allow to exercise centralized operation of means of authentication and storage of key information during all lifecycle".

Project Results

Therefore by the time of start of this project to our specialists implementation plans of a number of service functions of the products installed in SO UES on data protection were well-known. Our engineers could prompt optimal mechanisms of implementation of functionality necessary to the customer which can be used during the work not only with current, but also with future versions of the information security facility. It will allow to involve the opportunities which are earlier put in JMS without updates of the version and additional debugging".
