2017: Implementation of IFS Global Extension
The IFS company, the international software provider for the corporate sector, announced on October 27, 2017 that the Swedish company Saab rendering services for defense industry and for ensuring civil security made the decision on implementation of IFS Global Extension along with purchase of licenses for new users in South Africa.
IFS Global Extension will allow Saab to support on a centralized basis requirements of legislations of the different countries within a uniform corporate information system based on IFS Applications, having saved from a set of modifications. It will reduce time for the solution of administrative tasks, will reduce costs and risks.

In addition to implementation of IFS Global Extension, in Saab 600 new users of IFS Applications 9 in South Africa appeared thanks to what the total quantity of users of IFS in global group of Saab exceeded 13 thousand.
2009: Contract for the amount of 120 million shv. kroner
The Swedish concern Saab signed the agreement on cooperation increase with IFS company in 2009. The four-year agreement concerns acquisition of licenses, receiving consulting services and also services in support and service of the ERP system] IFS Applications. The cost of the contract is 120 million shv. kroner, from them 12 million shv. kroner - the cost of licenses.
The different companies as a part of Saab corporation use the ERP system of IFS Applications for management of aftersales service, design, production, repairs, supply chains, projects. Saab is a client of IFS since 1994 and has long-term plans on use of this ERP system. So, the division of the company which is engaged in production of systems for civil and military aviation in 2006 executed consolidation of 59 separate systems in a single system of IFS Applications.
According to Johan Shodin (Johan Sjödin), the vice president of ICT Coordination Office Saab AB, the company management was positive for this experience and intends to perform similar projects and in other divisions. By 2013 in Saab expect to achieve global standardization of the processes and systems in scales of all company. The company hopes that development of cooperation with IFS will allow to simplify and rationalize business processes on the basis of a uniform ERP system that finally will allow to reduce costs for IT and at the same time to achieve increase in productivity.
