The Open Technologies company, the Russian system integrator, and JSC Samaraenergo, power supply company of Central Volga area, announced in May, 2014 project completion of implementation of the automated control system for sale of the electric power and settlings with consumers (SERP ACS).
The project of development and deployment of a billing system in Samaraenergo started at the end of 2010.
Till its beginning in each department of the company the accounting system was used that led to data entry duplication, created difficulties in formation of the consolidated statements and complicated interaction with the network organizations.
For the purpose of quality improvement of customer service and optimization of a payment system for the consumed electrical energy the decision on implementation of a modern and effective management system for the power sales activity allowing to improve continuously business sales processes, accounting, planning and forecasting of loading and the prices of electrical energy was made.
According to the results of the held competition as the contractor of the project the company Open Technologies was selected.
In work flow on the project by system integrator together with the customer the large volume of work was done: business processes of the company are formalized; setup of a system is carried out; data migration from the previous AS Energoofis; the new functionality which is absent in the basic version of a system is created; key and end users are trained; the technical support service of end users is created.
The billing system is constructed based on software products of SAP: SAP Solution Manager (solution management), SAP for Utilities and SAP BusinessObject (analytical platform). As the technical platform the solution Fujitsu FlexFrame for SAP providing scalability and fault tolerance of a system at all levels is used (HW, OS, VM, SAP applications).
As a result of implementation of the solution centralization of information flows and process optimization of reporting is provided, operating costs are reduced and the financial transparency of organization activity is increased.
Input of an ACS of SERP in commercial operation regarding individuals was performed in October, 2012, regarding legal entities – in 2014.
The solution successfully functions in all departments of Samaraenergo, in a system calculations more than with 540,000 inhabitants and more than with 17,200 industrial enterprises are carried out. Samara region.
