Sberbank started service for video shopping

On September 24, 2020 it became known of the service created by Sberbank for video shopping. It is implemented within the smart Set-top box with voice actuation of SberBox which works together with family of voice assistants Salute. The equipment is developed by SberDevices company from an ecosystem Sber.

According to the Prime agency with reference to statements of Ozon and Lamoda, these marketplaces of steel became partners of service of video shopping from Sberbank, their goods will be offered when watching movies via the SberBox Set-top box.

The user when viewing content in the mode of a pause will see a card of goods and its main characteristics and using the QR code will be able to pass into the directory of platforms for further purchase, explained in Ozon and Lamoda.

The press service of Lamoda noted that at video shopping start more than 1 million goods from the website can be available to users, first of all it is clothes.

Users when watching the movie will be able to deliver video on a pause and to look at clothes selections about Lamoda similar to images of heroes in a frame — told in the company.

As for Ozon, this marketplace will bring for video shopping goods out of such categories, toys, books, clothes, the house and a garden, tourism, fishing and hunting, electronics. Including the game attributes based on cinema and animated films will be available. Online retailers will share a part of the revenue which percent does not reveal with SberDevices.

Authors of the project calls it the first in Russia. Abroad it is a little services of video shopping, and most of them are started not so long ago. So, the American telecaster of NBCUniversal in 2019 provided Shoppable TV, and in April, 2020 — the special NBCUniversal Checkout platform for purchase of goods via the TV.^[1]
