"Ship" replaced a mail system with cloud

On March 30, 2016 the Softline company announced transfer of corporate mail of children's shops "Korablik" to a cloud.

Within transition to a cloud platform of Microsoft Office 365 the company made the decision on migration of mail infrastructure of Exchange Server in a cloud. It helped to lower operating costs on support and service of the current system, to get competitive advantages due to high stability and fault tolerance of a cloud service.

Project Progress

The Exchange Online service acts as the mail platform in Office 365. Instruments of monitoring give the chance to book information audit of correspondence, to control efficiency of use of service, to provide protection against spam and viruses. Within the project of migration of corporate mail on the Office 365 platform specialists of Softline the hybrid circuit of interaction of a cloud with local infrastructure is created. After setup of subsystems started bilateral data migration between local and cloud platforms that excluded idle times in work of IT systems of the company.

After completion of migration, for a part of the users who remained on the local platform cleaning of mail databases is made for optimization of server capacities and cost reduction on service of local IT infrastructure. Work of service on the hybrid circuit will be supported within several years then it will be completely transferred to a cloud.

Project Results

In a project deliverable we managed to ensure smooth operation of both local, and cloud IT systems that increased convenience of work of users and redistributed load of IT infrastructure of the company. For cost optimization on project implementation, specialists of Softline use of licenses of Enterprise together with monthly subscriptions of CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) was offered. It considerably cut down the customer's expenses on lease of the software and gave an opportunity monthly them to predict, including due to change of number of the used licenses. Thanks to specialists of Softline of our company it was succeeded to transfer quickly a part of mail infrastructure to a cloud platform, having saved all data, necessary for work. Migration was carried out without idle times of key IT services. It allowed to maintain the continuity of business processes and taking into account specifics of work of our company became additional benefit.
