Volga Shipping Company continues to develop digital services. The next stage was the implementation on the basis of 1C: Payroll and HR Management 8 KORP the "" system, where HR-processes are combined and improved. The Volga Shipping Company (Volga-Fleet) carries out cargo transportation on the inland waterways of Russia, in the river-sea message and in international maritime directions. It is one of the largest shipping companies in Russia, its fleet is more than 230 dry cargo ships.

By the time of the start of the project, the volume of HR processes in the direction of the company's training alone was about 19 thousand per year, as well as 10.5 thousand people/courses per year, including conventional and additional vocational training. A solution was required to ensure the implementation of plans to train and monitor database maintenance, and to store information on the qualification documents of each employee.

Over 9 months, the 1C-Rarus project team built a system on the basis 1C of Salary ": and HR management 8 KORP" that combined HR processes in 8 areas: selection, adaptation, training administration, personnel development, assessment, goal setting and key performance indicators KPI (), HR analytics, labor protection.

Results of digital transformation of human resources management and accounting

  • The created system allows you to manage HR processes for 3000 employees of the company. The share of automated HR processes was 66%.
  • Unification has improved the transparency of HR processes for all participants, from employee to process manager. Labor costs for the receipt, exchange and processing of information were reduced by 50%.
  • The combined time resource of the HR service for the implementation of the action plan for strategic tasks was freed up by almost 4 FTE (from the English Full-time Equivalent - how many full-time employees are needed to effectively perform the work). The time savings were 7,000 man-hours.
  • The time frame for the formation of the actual analysis plan and the training budget was reduced from 10 working days to 2 minutes.
  • A portfolio is formed for each employee, which allows you to track the life cycle of personnel and analyze the personnel potential of the company.
  • Comparison of employee data with reference qualification is implemented. Based on the gap, actions are developed taking into account employee movements during navigation.
  • A system has been developed to manage the requirements for personnel qualification and swimming qualification depending on the type of fleet and navigation route: 1600 + lines in the qualification matrix. It became possible to form advanced employee training plans and build development trajectories. The system contains 2500 + individual training plans.
  • The goal-setting system allows you to detail corporate goals to the goals of a specific employee and create performance scorecards.
