On October 30, 2020 Shokoladnitsa began to use robots waiters in two coffee shops in Moscow. The company received the BellaBot and PuduBot robots made by the Chinese Pudu Robotics.
During creation of appearance of the BellaBot robot used lines of a domestic cat. The robot has several channels of customer interaction: voice and lighting effect. When Bellabot brings food to a table, it will ask you to take ware from the corresponding tray by voice, and the tray with the blinking lamp will indicate the necessary order.
A system has an opportunity to communicate in three languages — Russian, English and Chinese — by the principles and analogy to the famous voice assistants.
On the display of the robot the employee of coffee shop specifies numbers of tables and trays corresponding to them, thus the robot understands to what table it needs to drive up.
The PuduBot model has similar characteristics, the main difference is a form factor, this model has no analogy to animals, but there is an interactive screen displaying eyes and a smile of the robot.
The robot will help not only to deliver the order, but also to bring dirty ware to washing. A system has functions of artificial intelligence and in the future will be able to support a conversation with visitors and also to take the order.
Infrapraym technology LLC which free of charge provided robots became the partner of Shokoladnitsa. The average cost of one robot is about $12,000 (taking into account the cost of the software), the operating officer of Shokoladnitsa Group Yury Vladykin told Forbes.
According to Shokoladnitsa, the average salary of the waiter there 35,000 in a month, i.e. on the money spent for the robot it is possible to pay more than two years salary to the employee. Maintenance of robots and diagnostics is made remotely, online.[1]
