Accounting of property at head office JSC SUEK is automated

The IT smart systems company entering into IT Group implemented at the central office of the Siberian Coal Energy Company (SCEC) an automated system of operational accounting of property of IT-AI based on technology of radio frequency identification (RFID). The new hardware-software solution was closely integrated with the corporate system of management of the customer constructed on SAP R/3 platform.

JSC SUEK is the largest Russian fuel and energy company. Operational management and accounting activity of the company is conducted in the corporate information system (CIS) of SAP R/3. For maintenance of relevance of internal accounting information it was required that all data on property of the organization also were stored in uniform CIS.

Prior to the beginning of the project the corporate system of management contained only the object list of accounting, at the same time the materially responsible employee worked with the file of the Excel format which included also the list of property with indication of a location of all accounting units. Both databases were not among themselves connected, and any of them did not reflect real situation therefore quite often because of resynchronization there were errors.

The management of JSC SUEK made the decision to bring order in the field of accounting of property and to automate the processes connected with it. The IT smart systems company became the partner in project implementation. The main selection terms were: existence of the qualitative solution for operational accounting and inventory of property – the IT-AI system checked by time and having wide functionality and also wide experience of successful implementations of this system, including integration with SAP R/3. As technology of automatic identification the customer preferred RFID as today it provides the best combination of quality and reliability.

The implementation project of an automated system of control and inventory of property proceeded four months. First of all the IT equipment which required 2500 radio tags was registered. Specialists of IT smart systems installed all necessary equipment, configured IT-AI software, having integrated it from the existing CIS, and trained the staff of JSC SUEK in work with a new solution.

The project implemented at head office JSC SUEK is pilot. Now the question of replication of the implemented system for all other offices of the company is considered.
