The professional scanning equipment of ELAR corporation is supplied to Scientific library of the Siberian federlny university. The corporation reported about it on March 4, 2020.
The Siberian Federal University (SFU) is the large university of Krasnoyarsk Krai, the leading university of the region with world level of scientific research and educational technologies. The SFU scientific library – one of the main divisions of the university which is responsible for the high-quality information maintenance of educational process and scientific research providing access to domestic and foreign electronic resources. The library often becomes the platform for large cultural and educational actions.
The SFU scientific library is equipped with the modern telecommunication and scanning equipment and participates in creation of electronic information educational environment of the university. In cooperation with Presidential library of B.N. Yeltsin, the State archive of Krasnoyarsk Krai implements projects on digitization of library and archive materials, providing access to content not only students and teachers of SFU, but also all residents of Krasnoyarsk and Krasnoyarsk Krai.
Specialists of library note that ELAR Planskan of A2B has advanced the scanning system and is capable to solve even the complex problems of digitization requiring the high level of detailing of the image.
Capability of ELAR Planskan of A2B is optimal for our tasks to work, including, with the stitched originals which cannot be opened completely that will help us to save quality of paper documents at digitization. We plan that using the installed scanning equipment periodicals from fund of the SFU Scientific library and a number of archive documents will be digitized. The scanner will be used, including, when holding excursions for demonstration of modern opportunities of library, comments the director of the Library and publishing complex Ivan Rudov
