Sovcombank accelerated the payment of income on securities thanks to a joint project with Diasoft

2025: Improvements in the "Depository"

Sovcombank and Diasoft on February 25, 2025 announced the successful completion of the project, during which the process of paying income on securities was accelerated. To do this, improvements were made in the decision "Depository" established in the bank.

During the project, multithreading was configured and the following processes were improved:

• calculating the registry and compiling a list of owners,
• calculation of planned payments,
• reconciliation of the funds received with the planned amounts of the corporate event,
• distribution of cash to planned payments,
• recalculation of distributed amounts taking into account personal income tax.  

The listed processes were combined into an automated chain of continuous end-to-end processing of the STP (straight through processing) process. These changes not only reduced the likelihood of errors, but also significantly reduced manual labor, which allowed employees to focus on more important tasks.

Thanks to the successful implementation of the project, we were able to significantly increase the productivity of the process of paying income on securities. Now our customers can get the cash much faster. We will continue to introduce innovative solutions for the development of the investment business, - said Albert Boris, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sovcombank.

During the project, we optimized the bank's depository accounting processes and implemented an automated solution, thereby reducing the manual labor of bank employees. Increasing the speed of processing income payments for corporate events is just the beginning of optimization, - said Maxim Seleznev, head of the product department of the Depository of Diasoft.

Partners will continue to cooperate in the direction of automating the bank's business processes, in particular, reducing the processing time of income payments as part of corporate actions.
